Description	:	Mrs. Henry Rikkers, nee Jantje Mulder – Van Pykeren, was born December 9, 1865 in the Netherlands. She married Gerrit Van Pykeren in 1885 and came to America a few years later and settled in this community where her entire life was spent with the exception of five years when they lived near Edgerton, Minnesota. She married Gerrit Van Pykeren in 1885 and came to America a few years later and settled in this community where her entire life was spent with the exception of five years when they lived near Edgerton, Minnesota. To this union 10 children were born. Preceding her in death were her husband and two daughters, Jennie, Mrs. P. Vander Schaaf, and Sennie, Mrs. Wm. Nyenhuis; and two small sons, Willie and Gerrit. In 1922 she married Henry Rikkers of this place, who preceded her in death in 1942. She is survived by four daughters, namely: Alice, Mrs. Bert Nyenhuis of Hull; Gertie, Mrs. John Spronk of Edgerton, Minnesota; Maggie; Mrs. Art Spronk of Beaver Creek, Minnesota; Mathilda, Mrs. Peter De Jongh of Hills, Minnesota, two sons: Frank and Gerrit of Hull; 23 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren, and the following step-children: Nellie, Mrs. Ed Vander Schaaf; Wm. Rikkers; Gertie, Mrs. Gerrit Roetman; Jennie, Mrs. Dick Oostenink; Hattie, Mrs. Gerrit Oostenink; Rev. John Rikkers; Rev. Henry Rikkers; Lillian, Mrs. Ben Van Batavia. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 20, 1957, at the Christian Reformed church of Hull, with Rev. H.C. Van Deelen and Rev. Henry Rikkers officiating. Burial was in Hope cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons: Henry J. Spronk, Preston De Jongh, Willis Nyenhuis, Gerrit A. Spronk, Fred Van Engen and Pier Wynia. Sioux County Index 1957-03-21.
