He grew up in Alexandria, SD and graduated from Hanson High School in 2001. Jason enlisted with the Marines on February 11, 2002. He joined 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines on August 29, 2002, where he served as an Administration Clerk. He grew up in Alexandria, SD and graduated from Hanson High School in 2001. Jason enlisted with the Marines on February 11, 2002. While in Salerno he was a guard at the ECP where he performed CPR on a local national, which resulted in his life being saved. He returned from Afghanistan on December 5, 2004. He served with the Marines until October 2, 2006. Jason married Anna Larson on May 12, 2012 in Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kris Sloan, grandfather, Enoch Isakson, two uncles, Harold Isakson, Richard Sloan and his best friend, Kris Whaley.
