Mr. Allen was born January 3, 1946 in Horry County, a son of the late Jasper Allen and the late Eitha Graham Allen. Mr. Allen retired form Conbraco Industries. J.E. was passionate about hunting and fishing and loved to work in his garden. Surviving Mr. Allen are, his Daughter, Tanya Grainger of Aynor; his Grandchildren: Katelin Perritte and Kaleb Grainger; his Sisters: Erline Hardwick of Galivants Ferry, Betty Elvis of Marion, Barbara Smith of Scranton, Gertrude Smith of Conway and Evelyn McDonald of Florence; a Special Nephew, Anthony Smith, along with several other nieces and nephews. Mr. Allen was predeceased by his 2 brothers, Quince Allen and Hamp Allen and 5 sisters, Catherine Hardwick, Dora Johnson, Elma Turner, Velma Page and Yvonne Kay. Funeral services for Mr. Allen will be held Monday, July 29 at 4:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
