Description	:	OBIT - Jay F. Muser was born in Brodhead, Wis., to Mr. And Mrs. Herman E. Muser Dec. 10, 1893. He moved with his parents in 1901 to South Dakota, locating a mile and a half west of De Smet. In March of 1909 they moved to a farm south of Erwin. He was united in marriage to Effie Jane Crawford on Aug. 23, 1916 at De Smet. Two daughters were born, E. Margaret (Mrs. Howard Schultz) and Mary Ella (Mrs. Floyd McChesney). ... Margaret (Mrs. Howard Schultz) and Mary Ella (Mrs. Floyd McChesney). Jay was supervisor of Spirit Lake Township for 13 years and served several years on the Rose Hill School Board. He made his home with his daughter Margaret for thirty years and the last two years resided at the De Smet Good Samaritan Center. He leaves to mourn his tow daughters, Margaret of De Smet and Mary Ellen of Mt. Morris, Ill., two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Iso) Brown, De Smet and Mrs. Frank Ardell Schuler, Everett, Wash., one brother, Harold, of De Smet; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. His wife Effie, and brothers, Hermie, May, Glee, Corliss and Geore preceded him in death.
