He was born May 29, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of the late Samuel M. and Dorothy Mae Amos Domer. He was in the U.S. Army where he was a corporal who served in the Korean conflict. He retired as an asbestos worker for Local #53 of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a former Deputy Sheriff and Bondsman in Florida.
