Description	:	Jean died quietly and peacefully on July 27th after suffering a stroke in her 94th year. Her journey homeward to rejoin her beloved husband Albert is complete. Jean was born in Blanchard, WA on March 20th, 1916. She graduated from Edison Union High School in 1934. She met Albert and was married on November 22, 1938. They bought a home in Seattle in 1943 and joined Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church where they worshipped and served throughout their lives. Read More	Jean died quietly and peacefully on July 27th after suffering a stroke in her 94th year. Her journey homeward to rejoin her beloved husband Albert is complete. Jean was born in Blanchard, WA on March 20th, 1916. She graduated from Edison Union High School in 1934. She met Albert and was married on November 22, 1938. They bought a home in Seattle in 1943 and joined Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church where they worshipped and served throughout their lives. Jean and Al raised their two children and grandchildren to appreciate and understand nature and wilderness settings as they camped all over the northwest, from the Pacific Ocean to Yellowstone Park. After the kids grew up and Al retired, they took their van and trailer around the nation, joining their friends in caravan. Jean was a constant and devoted wife for Albert, but had her own style and presence. She was an immaculate housekeeper, a seamstress with dressmaking skills, and a reader and writer. Jean dressed with style and flair. She is fondly remembered for her dry wit, positive outlook, and the enduring ability to bring every new acquaintance into her life as an equal. She showed grace and kindness to all. Jean was predeceased by Albert, her husband of 65 years, and her brother Paul. Her surviving family who miss her are children Ardis Pilz (Dennis), and Norman Anderson (Coleen), and grand- children Anne-Michael Hendricks (Chris) and Jon Pilz (Whitney). Other survivors include sisters-in-law Selma Bergstrom and Anna Hoiland, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Remembrances of Jean are suggested to Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church or Children's Hospital of Seattle. A memorial service will be held at Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church at August 4th. •• Jean H.
