Description	:	Jean Holtz Sievers age 95, died Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Pinicon Place in Anamosa following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held 11:00 Thursday morning, February 16, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Anamosa with interment in the Wyoming Cemetery. Friends may call after 9:30 at the church. Rev. Surviving are 3 children, James (Carol) North Platte, NE., Judy (Al) Albers, Nevada, Jerry (Christine), Anamosa, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson and a sister, Leah Oppedahl, Story City. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, Ronald Holtz and Melvin Sievers and her sister, Lois Ridout. Jean Irene Huffman was born December 23, 1921 at Wyoming, Iowa. She was the daughter of James and Bessie Hulbert, Huffman. Jean graduated from the Wyoming High School in 1939. She married Ronald Holtz on May 18, 1941 at Zion Lutheran Church, Wyoming. The couples owned school buses and were the contracted transportation provider for the Wyoming Schools. They purchased a resort on Otter Tail Lake in Minnesota and named it Hotlz Resort. They worked in the summer at the resort and then would return to Wyoming and Anamosa in the winter. Jean worked a Mae Amilia Gift Shop that they later purchased and operated as RonJeans Gifts. They also owned Mickey’s Model Shop. Ron would precede her in death in 1979. Jean married Melvin Sievers on May 29, 1983. Melvin preceded her in death in July of 2004.
