Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada, with Pastor Doug Benda officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to services. Page was one of ten children born to Ivan Ralph and Clara Emma (Ziebell) Cook. The family moved from California to Iowa during World War II, and Jean graduated from Nevada High School. On Dec. 19, 1947, she married Fred L. Page. They were blessed with two sons, Bruce and Pat. Jean worked for a time at Donnelley Marketing, and later was employed by the DOT in Ames. She retired after 37 years of service. Jean’s interests included shopping, watching CNN, and crocheting, as well as the company of family and friends. She is survived by her sons, Bruce (Connie) Page, and Pat (LuAnn) Page, all of Nevada; five grandchildren, Timothea Page, Antonia (Mike) Harding, Jocelyn (Jerry) Banda, Melissa (Lance) Kuhlmann, and Matt Page; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph (Judy) Cook, of Ankeny, and Rex (Iris) Cook, of Lisbon; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers, Ervan, Franklin, and Gary Cook; and four sisters, Gela Sothhard, Dorothy Benda, Betty Nelson and Barbara Ball. Ryan Funeral Home of Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Jean and her family.
