Description	:	Jeana Kaye Joenks, daughter of Gilbert "Tom" and Carolyn (Lockey) Dotson, was born February 17, 1959 in Spencer, Iowa. She received her education in Spencer, graduating from Spencer High School in 1977. Jeana was united in marriage to Todd Larsen. Jeana was employed at Heartland Press and Prairie Judd in Spencer for several years. She later began working for Nile and Lynn Dotson at Center Cleaners in Spencer. She received her education in Spencer, graduating from Spencer High School in 1977. Jeana was united in marriage to Todd Larsen. Jeana was employed at Heartland Press and Prairie Judd in Spencer for several years. She later began working for Nile and Lynn Dotson at Center Cleaners in Spencer. On May 27, 1995 Jeana married Jim Joenks on their acreage east of Everly, Iowa. Jeana enjoyed raising wolves and was a member of Iowa Wolfers. She loved all types of animals, especially her cats, Charlie and Casey. Jeana and Jim enjoyed traveling. They had taken an Alaskan cruise, traveled throughout Canada and many states throughout the United States. Jeana loved camping and fishing. She spent many hours fishing the Ocheyedan river behind her parents home. Jeana passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Dotson and her mother, Carolyn. She is survived by her husband, Jim of Everly, Iowa; her father, Tom of Spencer, Iowa; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ron and Barb Joenks; a very special friend, Tanner Kluender of Royal, Iowa; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Debbie and Stephen Zitterich of Spencer, Iowa, Neil and Cathy Joenks of Rossie, Iowa and Larry and Shannon VanDaalen of Waverly, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Katie and Justin Campbell of Spencer, Iowa, and Adam Dotson and Kelly of Spencer, Iowa; great nieces and nephews, Caitlin, Hannah, Emily, and Drew Campbell, Alyssa Dotson, Mercedez, Angelo and Dominic; as well as other relatives and many friends.
