She had been a resident of Clarence Care Center the past four months following a massive stroke. Imogean was born April 15, 1925 on the family farm near Leonard, Missouri, to James Otis and Maggie Mae (Forman) Glahn. She was married April 20, 1940 to Jarrell D. Copenhaver. To this union three children were born- Dee Ann, Don, and John. She is survived by her two children, Dee Ann Foreman of Clarence, and Don Copenhaver of Hallsville; 10 grandchildren, Brent Foreman of Clarence, Larissa Schuster of California, Mark Copenhaver of Moberly, Kelli Pinet of Boonville, Brandon Copenhaver of Hallsville, Bailey Copenhaver of Hallsville, Stacey Copenhaver of New Hamphsire, and Lisa, Jay, and Brett Copenhaver all of the St. Louis area; 14 great grandchildren-among those are, Jarrell Foreman of Clarence, Kristin Magruder of Lentner, Tyler Schuster of Hallsville, and Ammanda Dixon of Blue Springs; and 13 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jarrell D.; one son, John Edward; one brother, Jr. Glahn; and one grandson, Jarl Craig Foreman. Imogean was a member of the Clarence Christian Church but in recent years attended the Clarence United Methodist Church. She was a hard working woman who spent many hours driving a tractor and working in the fields with her husband. She raised a large garden and canned many jars of food. She loved working in the garden with her flowers. Imogean also liked to crochet and made many beautiful doilies. She liked to quilt, do crafts, make candy, and cooked many wonderful meals for the family, as well as, sewed little dresses for her little granddaughters. In her later years, she loved to fish at her son’s lake on his farm. One of the highlights of her life was meeting the 43rd President of the United States. She loved her family and was always there to help in any way she could. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 11am, at the Clarence United Methodist Church with Delbert Earlywine officiating the service. A visitation will precede the funeral service from 10am to 11am at the church. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Maplewood Cemetery in Clarence. Memorials may be made to the Clarence United Methodist Church, Maplewood Cemetery, or Morris Chapel.
