Mrs. Richardson was born May 29, 1911 in Chester, WV, a daughter of the late Hugh B. and Janet (Nicholas) Lynch, and lived most of her life in the Lisbon area before moving to Colorado in 2007. Richardson, 99, formerly of Lisbon, passed away at 2:54am, Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Julia Temple Nursing Center. Mrs. Richardson was born May 29, 1911 in Chester, WV, a daughter of the late Hugh B. and Janet (Nicholas) Lynch, and lived most of her life in the Lisbon area before moving to Colorado in 2007. Her husband, Donald D. Richardson, whom she married in November 1939, preceded her in death. Jeannette was also preceded in death by her son, John Richardson, and her brother, Hugh B. Lynch Jr. A graduate of Chester High School, she received her B.A. degree from West Virginia Wesleyan. She originally taught in Chester schools and later taught seventh and eighth grade for several years in the old Lincoln school building in Lisbon. She was associated with her husband, Don, in his business, T.A. Richardson & Sons, until his death in 1956. She then operated the family business on her own until 1967. From 1967 to 1976, she was the head librarian at the Lisbon Lepper Library. Jeannette was a faithful member of the Lisbon First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, The Monday Club, Home & Garden Study Club, Lisbon Historical Society, Help Center, Iva Chapter OES, and Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity. She is survived by her daughters, Dawn (Robert) Alexander; Hollis (Steven) Koon; daughter-in-law Pamela Richardson, granddaughter, Erin Alexander (Chris McClellan); and grandson, Kyle Alexander. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the Lisbon First United Methodist Church, 114 East Washington Street, with the Rev. Pamela Gable officiating. Private burial will take place in the Lisbon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10am until the time of service Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Lisbon First United Methodist Church Pantry or to the Lisbon Lepper Library Building fund.
