Read More	Jeanette Wolters Is Killed In Car Collision Four Others in the Two-Car Crash Were Injured, One Seriously; Collision Was On Highway 57, Three Miles East of Dike, About 10:30 Monday Night. Jeanette Wolters, eighteen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wolters of Grundy Center, met instant death from a broken neck in a head-on car collision about 3 miles east of Dike on Primary 57 about 10:30 Monday night. The other four occupants of the two cars were injured and taken to Sartori hospital, Cedar Falls. In the car in which the Grundy girl met her death were her sister Johanna, 16, and Harm Krull, 20, of Grundy Center. The three were riding in the front seat, with the younger girl in the middle. Harm Krull was driving the family car, a 1953 Plymouth. The young people had been to a show in Cedar Falls and were on their way home. Driver of the other car, also a 1953 Plymouth, was Dale Corwin, 35, from Cedar Falls. With him was Irene Joyce Brown, 25, from Cedar Falls. They were driving in the opposite direction. Johanna Wolters suffered a broken arm and a broken leg and injuries about her head. Her condition was regarded as quite serious when she was examined at the hospital. At latest reports her condition had improved. Harm Krull received injuries to his chest, concussions and cuts. He was unable to tell for sure how the accident happened. He believed the driver of the other car was in the wrong lane as the two cars approached and to miss running into him he turned to the left as the other car was turning back and the cars crashed into each other head-on. Corwin suffered arm and chest injuries and a slight concussion. Both of the cars remained right side up and they were on the paving when they stopped. The cars were so badly damaged that they are beyond repair. The Krull car was taken to Dike and the Corwin car to Cedar Falls. Highway Patrolmen Foster from Parkersburg and Koch from Cedar Falls covered the accident. They had a doctor from Cedar Falls and ambulances brought out to take care of the injured. The doctor believed that Jeanette Wolters was killed instantly. County Coroner Harold Engelkes was called. He brought the dead girl to Grundy Center and notified the parents. Was One Of 6 Sisters Jeanette Wolters was born on a Beaver township farm 2 1/2 miles north of Fern. She was born June 10th, 1939, and had reached her 18th birthday only a few weeks ago. The Wolters family moved from the farm to Grundy Center last year. Jeanette had been employed in the Manly Drug Store the past six months. Her sister Johanna has also been employed in the Manly store. Surviving are the parents and five sisters. The sisters are Gertrude, Johanna, Elaine, Martha and De Loris. Other surviving members of her family are two half-sisters, Anna Pagel and Jeanie Claassen, and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe J. Meester. Funeral Services Thursday At Stout Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, at one o'clock at the Engelkes Funeral Home and at 1:45 at the Reformed church in Stout. Rev. F. J. Langenberg, pastor of the Grundy Center Bethany Presbyterian church, will officiate at the services. He will be assisted by Rev. W. J. Heyenga, pastor of the church at Stout.
