Her faith in the Lord sustained her throughout her illness. Jeanne was born April 30, 1937, to Lela and Ernest Crenshaw. She was raised in Billings and graduated from Billings Senior High. She earned a teaching certificate from Eastern Montana College and a bachelor of arts in history from California State University at Fullerton. She taught school for 18 years in Roundup, Three Forks, MT., California and Maryland. She married Chester Rasmusson, Jan. 29, 1959, in Billings, MT. They moved to California in 1961 and lived there until 1987 when they moved to Clarkesville, MD. Jeanne was preceded in death by her father, Ernest. Jeanne is survived by her husband, Chester; her daughter, Cindy Steele and her husband, Doug of Modest0, CA.; her son Michael and his wife, Michelle of Thousand Oaks, CA.; one grand-daughter, Krista Steele; her mother, Lela Crenshaw of Billings, MT.; her brother, Bill Crenshaw and his wife Jan of Sheridan, WY.; her sister, Barbara Walborn of Billings; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 8, at 2 p.m. at the Lockwood Evangelical Church, in Lockwood, MT. Memorials may be sent to Hospice or the charity of your choice. Interment will be in the Pleasantview Cemetery, in Ballantine, MT.
