Description	:	Jeffery Leonard Bolton was born on May 26, 1955, to Leonard and Patricia (Olsen) Bolton in Denison, Iowa. Jeff went to the Dunlap School and then took agricultural classes through Iowa State in 1977 and 1978 . Jeff farmed for over 25 years with his father. Jeff married Mary Kuhlman in 1976, and to that union three children were born; Brian Bolton, Jamie Lynn Thomsen and Brandon Bolton. In 2000 he retired from farming and moved to Omaha, Nebraska. Read More	Jeffery Leonard Bolton was born on May 26, 1955, to Leonard and Patricia (Olsen) Bolton in Denison, Iowa. Jeff went to the Dunlap School and then took agricultural classes through Iowa State in 1977 and 1978 . Jeff farmed for over 25 years with his father. Jeff married Mary Kuhlman in 1976, and to that union three children were born; Brian Bolton, Jamie Lynn Thomsen and Brandon Bolton. In 2000 he retired from farming and moved to Omaha, Nebraska. Jeff was very talented and found work building sunroom additions as well as remodeling kitchens and bathrooms. Jeff also worked as a mechanic at auto dealerships in Omaha and Council Bluffs. Jeff met his current wife, Penny Bolton, in 2003 in Omaha. The couple lived in Omaha and then moved to Council Bluffs. In 2015, Jeff and Penny both retired and moved back to Dunlap. Unfortunately, Jeff was diagnosed with esophageal cancer which took his life. Jeff’s passion was to fly airplanes. He built a helicopter in the early seventies and several other planes throughout his life. He was working on his dream plane. He almost had it done but he just ran out of time. The man was “plane crazy”. Jeff enjoyed camping and looked forward each year to go to the Air Adventure Show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. It is the largest air show sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association, which Jeff had been a member since 1977. More than anything, Jeff enjoyed and was proud of his children and grandchildren. Jeffery died on Thursday, February 20, 2020, at the age of 64 years, eight months and 25 days, at his home in hospice care. He is survived by his wife, Penny Bolton; mother, Patricia Kelly; father, Leonard Bolton; three children, Brian Bolton of Neola, Iowa, Jamie (Will) Thomsen of Sioux Rapids, Iowa, and Brandon Bolton of Woodbine, Iowa; two step-children, Jason Spry and Robin Spry both of Omaha; six grandchildren; four siblings, Linda (Alan) Dane and Bonnie (Bob) Peterson all of Omaha, Julie (Jim) Thrasher of Buckeye, Arizona, and Steve (Felicia) Bolton of Palm Harbor, Florida; step-sister, Jenneane (Dan) Hendon and step-brother David Glenn all of Dunlap; and many other relatives and friends.
