Description	:	Jehue was born about 1815 to Levi & his first wife (unknown) Lee. His mother had died before 1820, but the family was living in Wayne County, Indiana with their father and 5 children listed. By 1830, Levi had remarried and added another daughter to the family. They were still living in Wayne County, Indiana. Jehue is listed in Kosciusko County, Indiana records as having come there with his father and brother, Henry, in 1838. They were still living in Wayne County, Indiana. Jehue is listed in Kosciusko County, Indiana records as having come there with his father and brother, Henry, in 1838. Jehue married Rosanna McIntosh, daughter of John and Sarah (Polly) McIntosh, in Kosciusko County February 16, 1837. They had 9 children, 2 in Ohio, 1 in Crawfordsville, Montgomery County, IN; 1 in Valpariso, Porter County, IN, 2 more in IN and the last 3 in Knox Twp. Clarke Co. Iowa. They lived in Darke County, Indiana in 1840 and Randolph County, Indiana in 1850. Jehue is listed as a wagonmaker, which may explain all the moving around. By 1854, he is on the Iowa State census in Clarke County. He is on all succeeding census there (1856, 1860 & 1870) and his will was filed in that place just before his death. There is no marked grave, but he is most likely buried in Lacelle Cemetery with the rest of the family. (The cemetery trustees loaned the cemetery list and it was never returned.) His eldest child was Minerva born ca: 1838. She married Lewis Lytle in 1857 and had three children with him. He died during the Civil War (1864-FAG# 57614909). She then married John V. Thomas (FAG# 75243097) and had two more children. She died ca: 1875 in MO. Death not recorded. Jehue's 6th child was Anny J. born in 1852. She married Jasper Beeman (FAG# 25429285). They had one child, Lulu (Beeman) Sherrow (James W. Sherrow).
