Description	:	Wednesday night at 10:25 o'clock, Mrs. Mame Bolton Jennings, died suddenly following a heart attack suffered earlier in the evening. The death was a great shock to the relatives and friends of this splendid woman who resided in Tipton many years. Mrs. Jennings and her son Samuel and wife made their home together on North Independence street and although the deceased had been in failing health for the past year it was not known her condition was so critical. Read More	Wednesday night at 10:25 o'clock, Mrs. Mame Bolton Jennings, died suddenly following a heart attack suffered earlier in the evening. The death was a great shock to the relatives and friends of this splendid woman who resided in Tipton many years. Mrs. Jennings and her son Samuel and wife made their home together on North Independence street and although the deceased had been in failing health for the past year it was not known her condition was so critical. Besides the son in this city she is survived by son, Jesse Jennings, engaged in railroad work in Ohio and two daughters, Mrs. Lena Coughill, of Elwood and Mrs. Harley Duke, of near Indianapolis. Mrs. Aura Beyer residing south of Tipton is a sister and the deceased is also survived by a number of grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Kemp Methodist church Saturday morning, at 10 o'clock, Rev. John C. White, in charge. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery. Mrs. Jennings was 78 and born in Ohio; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Oliver Bolton, being pioneers who emigrated to this county in an early day. She was united in marriage to James P. Jennings, a civil war veteran, on Nov. 12, 1870, and they resided in Tipton for many years. The husband died thirteen years ago and since that time Mrs. Jennings and her children have resided in Tipton. James Jennings, the husband was one of the pioneer gas men and plumbers of this city and was an employes of the old Tipton Light Heat & Power Company, the first organization to furnish gas in this county.
