Read More	Coon Rapids Enterprise September 4, 1942 Jennie Anderson Stanton, daughter of the late Charles A. and Josephine Anderson, was born in Bureau county, Illinois on February 12, 1878. She came to Coon Rapids with her parents as a child, settling in the Coon Rapids community where she grew to womanhood. She worked in the Garst store for a number of years, later operated a store of her own at Stromsburg, Nebraska. Here she married Elmer E. Stanton and resided, until a few months ago when she returned to Coon Rapids to make her home. Mr. Stanton preceded her in death March 9, 1936. Mrs. Stanton died at the St. Anthony hospital at Carroll on the evening of Sept. 1, 1942. She had been in poor health since suffering a stroke two years ago. She leaves three brothers; Fred Anderson, Frank Anderson and John Anderson, all of Coon Rapids; and three nieces — Mrs. Mable Shirbroun, Mrs. Claribel Clayburg arid Miss Alice Anderson. Mrs. Stanton was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Nebraska chapter AR of the P. E. O. Sisterhood. She was much impressed with these orders and gave them much of her time and strength and the orders were much benefited by her endeavors. Jennie Stanton was a woman of refinement, of culture and sympathy. She was always kind, charitable and helpful, devoted and self-sacrificing in her work. During her last illness she was ever patient and cheerful. Her passing is mourned by her immediate family and a large circle of friends — for to know her was to be her friend. Funeral services for Mrs. Stanton were held at Coder's Funeral Home here yesterday afternoon. The Rev. Eugene Alexander of Coon Rapids and the Rev. W. F. Clayburg of Carroll were in charge of the funeral service. Hymns were sung by a male quartet composed of Keith Textor, Wayne Textor, Junior Schumacher, Lewis Huff. Services at the grave were conducted by Faith Chapter, O. E. S. Casket bearers were George Textor, Roy Holliday, Paul Kinnick, John Miller, Frank Shirbroun and Avery Bell. Burial was in the Coon Rapids cemetery.
