Description	:	Jennie Augusta Nilson was born Oct. 19, 1877, in Kalmar, Småland, Sweden, and passed away Oct. 12, 1951, in her home near Stratford at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 13 days. At the age of 11 years her mother passed away, after which she went to live with relatives at Oland, Sweden. At the age of 21 years she immigrated to America, coming to Stratford Oct. 6, 1898. On Dec. 20, 1898, she was united in marriage to John Oscar Samuelson, and to this union was born one daughter and one son. The daughter is Mrs. Daisy Erickson of Stratford and the son is John G. Samuelson, with whom she had resided. She was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away Sept. 28, 1940, and by a sister, Alma Jakobson in Sweden on March 8, 1944 and by a granddaughter, Margaret Erickson, Jan. 7, 1942. She leaves to mourn her passing, her son, John; daughter, Daisy Erickson; stepson, Oscar Samuelson of Colton, Wash., granddaughter Ruby Erickson; a brother, Martin Nilson of Sweden and numerous other relatives. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 16, in her home with the Rev. A.G. Heddle officiating. Songs for the service were sung by Mrs. Roy Bergquist. They were "Rock of Ages," "In the Sweet Bye and Bye," and "Beyond the Sunset." Following the services the remains were taken to the Hardin Township Cemetery for interment. The pallbearers were: Vernie Olofson, Harold Fohlin, Vernie Carlberg, J.R. Gustafson, Harold Benson and Lester Poulson.
