Description	:	Mrs. Jennie LeQuire Hollingsworth, 75, of 145 Linden Park, LaFollette, wife of the late, Delbert L. Hollingsworth died at 6 am, Saturday at LaFollette Community Hospital. She was a retired Campbell County School Teacher. "She taught mainly in junior high in the Campbell County school system," she explained. "She loved to work in her garden and she shared many of her flowers with her neighbors and friends. "My father has been dead for 25 years, she added. I guess, in a sense, Mother was the heart of her neighborhood, because everyone would come to talk to her. "Little girls would come to show her a new dress and little boys would talk to her about fishing, and the women would share their troubles with her, " Mrs. Chaniott revealed. "I thanked them for being so good to her, but they wanted to do it. She was a good listener but she didn't take sides. I never heard her say an unkind thing about anyone," her daughter added. "She told one of her neighbors that when she died she hoped it would be while she was out in her yard with her flowers or talking with her neighbors--just as everyone remembered her. "She led a quite life, but a full one. "She worked her way throught high school and Maryville College, and sometimes she held three jobs at one time. "She was the editor and the class orator and was Valedictorian," Mrs. Claniott continued. "When she graduated she had the hightest honors made there in 50 years," she said. "Her field was math, and if any student needed extra work, she would invite them to come to her house after school so she could help them," her daughter recalled. Classmates of 1922 at Maryville College said of the future Mrs. Hollingsworth: "We remember how as a freshman she led her classes. Math and English have alike succumbed to her attacks. Watching afar this ascendency, classmates began to admire, and then to love. "Distemper and impetuousness did not characterize her brilliancy, but simple application to the task in hand." She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Sara Chaniott of LaFollette, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Sharp of Oak Ridge and Mrs. Kathryn Barbee of Peoria, Ill; her son, Delbert L. Hollingsworth of Leesburg, Fla; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bushanan of Maryville and Miss Trissie LeQuire of Townsend; her brother, Elmer LaQuire of Rockdale, Tex; and 17 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11:00 am, Monday at Roach Mortuary Chapel by the Rev. Ogleva Street. Burial was in Jacksboro Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ben Hollingsworth, Bo Hollingsworth, Wheeler Hollingsworth, Ray Ellison, Floyd Parrott, Bill Wheeler, Harry Hollingsworth, Charles Hollingsworth, and Eddie Wheeler. Roach Mortuary, LaFollette was in charge of arrangements.
