Description	:	Jennie Ritchue was born at Waukegan, Illinois in April 1863, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Ritchie. When about nine years of age she came to Nebraska with her parents, they settling in the northwest part of this county. On November 5, 1886, she was married to Dr. H. B. Cummins of this city, and to them were born two sons, Bert, aged fifteen, and Harry, aged twelve. Read More	Jennie Ritchue was born at Waukegan, Illinois in April 1863, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Ritchie. When about nine years of age she came to Nebraska with her parents, they settling in the northwest part of this county. On November 5, 1886, she was married to Dr. H. B. Cummins of this city, and to them were born two sons, Bert, aged fifteen, and Harry, aged twelve. Only about two years ago a modern new residence was erected into which the family moved, and here they had every prospect of enjoying many happy years, until the appearance of the grim reaper, who conveyed to her home beyond the kind and loving wife and mother. The illness of the deceased commenced a few months ago, in the form of cancer. Everything possible was done to relieve her, but all to no avail and on the morning of October 14, 1902, her spirit departed to the home beyond the grave. Funeral services were held at the residence at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Geo. F. Williams of the Presbyterian church in the presence of a large assemblage. The services were short and impressive. The floral contributions were many and beautiful. After the services the remains were conveyed to the north (Seward) cemetery, where they were laid to rest. Besides her husband and two sons there survive the deceased her aged mother, Mrs. A. D. Ritchie, of Seward, one sister, Mrs. D. S. Jackson of Nebraska City. and two brothers, Hon. W. E.
