Description	:	Jennie D. Brink was born November 5, 1911 at Kimball, SD to Leonard and Josephine (Torresen) Hansen. Born a country girl, she loved to ride horses and work on the farm. Her family lived at Faith, SD for many years and there she attended country school. At an early age she was blessed with an artistic talent and loved to draw and paint. On September 15, 1947 she married Herman Brink. They lived in the Platte, Kimball and Plankinton areas. Herman died in 1957, leaving Jennie with three young children to raise. She later moved to Mitchell,... Read More	Jennie D. Brink was born November 5, 1911 at Kimball, SD to Leonard and Josephine (Torresen) Hansen. Born a country girl, she loved to ride horses and work on the farm. Her family lived at Faith, SD for many years and there she attended country school. At an early age she was blessed with an artistic talent and loved to draw and paint. On September 15, 1947 she married Herman Brink. They lived in the Platte, Kimball and Plankinton areas. Herman died in 1957, leaving Jennie with three young children to raise. She later moved to Mitchell, where she was a stay at home mom making a living by taking in ironing, babysitting, drawing and painting beautiful pictures for many people. She is survived by two daughters: Bonnie (Dave) Meyerink, Mitchell; Sharon (Steve) Stocker, South St. Paul, MN and one son, Roger Brink, Artesian; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one brother, David Hansen, Corsica and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman, two sisters: Betty Hansen and Lillie Hylland, two brothers: Odin Hansen and Lloyd Hansen.
