Palma born in Bohemia and Mary Smudle born in Bohemia. * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * Adams County Free Press October 1, 1919 On Wednesday, the 24th of September, at high noon, at the church of the Immaculate Conception at Creston, occurred the marriage of Miss Jennie Palma and Amiel Hubatka, of this place. The marriage service was read by Rev. Father Malone and the young people were accompanied by Miss Helen Hubatka, sister of the groom, and Amiel Kralik. The bride wore blue taffeta, trimmed with white, and carried a shower bouquet of white roses. Miss Hubatka also wore blue and carried white asters. A reception was tendered the newly married couple at the home of the bride's parents, and a 6 o'clock dinner served to relatives and close friends of the contracting parties. The young people will reside on the Hubatka farm, just south of Williamson. Mrs. Hubatka is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Palma and has lived her entire life in this immediate community and has a host of friends who wish for her a full share of the good things of this life. Mr. Hubatka is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hubatka and was born and grew to manhood in this neighborhood. He is an industrious young man of good habits and with his wife is beginning married life with bright prospects for the future. With many other friends, the writer extends congratulations and best wishes for future happiness and prosperity.
