Description	:	PATTON, Jennie Mingus 79, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012 in the Ohio Masonic Home. She was born on June 20, 1932 in Springfield, the daughter of Paul B. and Eva Viola (Pflueger) Miller. Among other places she worked at Crowell-Collier for several years. She went to Culinary Arts Academy in Tucson, Arizona, retired as a chef for a private resort in Arizona. She volunteered at the Masonic Home for many years. Read More	PATTON, Jennie Mingus 79, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012 in the Ohio Masonic Home. She was born on June 20, 1932 in Springfield, the daughter of Paul B. and Eva Viola (Pflueger) Miller. Among other places she worked at Crowell-Collier for several years. She went to Culinary Arts Academy in Tucson, Arizona, retired as a chef for a private resort in Arizona. She volunteered at the Masonic Home for many years. Jennie was involved with the Order of Eastern Star and the Berea Bible Church. She also volunteered many hours at the Springfield Masonic Village before retiring there. She is survived by one very beloved son, Kevin N. Mingus and his wife Mary Grace of Katy, Texas, three grandchildren: Christopher (Jeanna), Brian(Kim), and Patrick(Kristina); seven great grandchild; two sisters: Dorothy (Lowell) Neer and Judy (Ray) Des Jardins; one brother, Gordon (Betty) Miller, and numerous nieces and nephews, friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Nate Tullis, her first husband, James Elwood Mingus, and second husband, Hiram "Pat" Patton. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 5-7:00 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME, where services will follow the visitation at 7:00 pm with Chaplain Bruce Vincent officiating. Private burial will be in the Asbury Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Obit was Published in Springfield News-Sun from June 3 o June 6, 2012 .
