Description	:	The St. Helena Star, September 7, 1945 Mother of St. Helenan Passes In Berkeley Mrs. Jennie Finch, mother of Mrs. George P. Kettlewell of St. Helena, passed away August 22nd at the home of her youngest daughter, Mrs. Retta Richards, in Berkeley. She seemed to be in good health despite a stroke she had suffered some time ago, and was all only two days before her death. She was 71 years of age. Deceased had resided in Calistoga 35 years. Kettlewell of St. Helena, passed away August 22nd at the home of her youngest daughter, Mrs. Retta Richards, in Berkeley. She seemed to be in good health despite a stroke she had suffered some time ago, and was all only two days before her death. She was 71 years of age. Deceased had resided in Calistoga 35 years. Her husband, the late James G. Finch, was active in mining for many years, and following his retirement in 1916 had served as member of the Calistoga board of trustees, at one time being chairman of the board. He had also been a member of the high school board. Deceased is survived by four daughters. Mrs. Clara Kettlewell of St. Helena, Mrs. Rachel Caldwell of Fortuna, Mrs. Hazel Mariana of Calistoga, and Mrs. Retta Richards of Berkeley. She also leaves the following grandchildren: Rachel Kettlewell Reavis and Wallace Kettlewell of St. Helena, the latter now with the U.S. Army in India; James Caldwell of Fortuna, Norman and Elvin Mariani of Calistoga, and Robert and John Richards of Berkeley. Funeral services were held in Calistoga on Saturday morning, August 25th, with Rev. A.E. Lucas officiating. Interment was in the family plot in the Calistoga cemetery.
