Hoffman, Cedar Rapids, died at Mercy hospital there Monday at 10:20 p.m., according to word received here today. She was born December 1, 1871, at Oskaloosa. She had been a member of St. James Methodist Episcopal church, Rebekahs and Royal Neighbors of Cedar Rapids. Surviving are one son, W.M. Buchanan of Ottumwa; her mother, Mrs. Lucy Brown of Cedar Rapids, and one sister, Mrs. Earl Myers of Moscow, Idaho. The body will arrive here at 11:57 p.m. today. Short services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Johnson’s funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. R.W. Swick. Burial will be made in Shaul cemetery.
