Description	:	Mrs. Jennie Andela, age, 91, of Hull, passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, at the Valley Manor Nursing Home in Rock Valley. Jennie was born Jan. 14, 1898, near Hull, the daughter of Peter Vis and Gertje Lokhorst Vis. On May 4, 1944, she married John Andela at Hull. He passed away March 6, 1952, at Hudson, South Dakota. Read More	Mrs. Jennie Andela, age, 91, of Hull, passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, at the Valley Manor Nursing Home in Rock Valley. Jennie was born Jan. 14, 1898, near Hull, the daughter of Peter Vis and Gertje Lokhorst Vis. On May 4, 1944, she married John Andela at Hull. He passed away March 6, 1952, at Hudson, South Dakota. In 1985, she became a resident of Valley Manor. She lived at Hull most of her life. For many years, she worked part-time as a seamstress out of her home. She was a member of the First Christian reformed Church of Hull, where she had been involved in the women's organizations. Survivors include her step-daughter, Mrs. Gerben (Therissa) Te Slaa, of Hull; three step-sons, Siebert of South Sioux City, Neb.; Carl of Grandview, MO; and Peter of Fordland, MO; 22 step-grandchildren, 31 step-greatgrandchildren; sister Mrs. August (Gertrude) Smit, and sister-in-law Johanna Vis, both of Hull; and brotherin-law Leo De Zoete of Chino, Calif. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a step-greatgrandchild in infancy, four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 2, at the First Christian Reformed Church with the Revs. William Renkema and Irwin Van Leeuwen officiating. Interment followed at Hope Cemetery in Hull under the direction of the Kraai-Oolman Funeral Home of Hull. Sioux County Index 1990-01-03.
