A Funeral Liturgy will be held Monday, March 20, 2017, at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chelsea with Deacon Joe Behounek officiating. Jennifer was born on November 23, 1969, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Harry III and Mary Ann (Moehrl) Gardner. She graduated from South Tama High School in 1988. She received an AA from Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids in Handicap Services. On September 14, 1991, she was united in marriage to Tony Kasal at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chelsea. Jennifer was a Judicial Specialist at the Tama County Clerk of Court office. She loved camping but above all else she loved her time with her soul mate Tony, and her pride and joy, Ryan. Survivors include her husband of twenty-five years, Tony, of Tama; one son, Ryan Kasal (Karlee Starits), of Cedar Rapids; her father, Harry III (Jean) Gardner, of Grand Rapids, MN; her mother-in-law, Eva Kasal, of Chelsea; her grandmother, Myrtle Gardner, of Grand Rapids, MN; two brothers: Harry IV Gardner (Kim Killion), of Littleton, CO, and Richard (Jessica) Gardner, of Cedar Rapids; two step-sisters, Jodi (Howe) Siegel, of Minnetonka, MN, and Julie (Adam) Schneider, of Plymouth, MN; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
