Description	:	GREENWOOD, S.C. - Mrs. Jenny Puckett Beard, 53, of 307 Beechwood Circle, Greenwood, wife of Kenny H. Beard, died at her residence Saturday, March 6, 2004, after an extended illness. Born February 9, 1951, in Union, SC, she was the daughter of the late James and Corrie Bevis Puckett. Mrs. Beard was retired from the Greenwood County Sheriffs Department, as a Detention Officer. She was a member of the Harris Baptist Church in Greenwood. Born February 9, 1951, in Union, SC, she was the daughter of the late James and Corrie Bevis Puckett. Mrs. Beard was retired from the Greenwood County Sheriffs Department, as a Detention Officer. She was a member of the Harris Baptist Church in Greenwood. Surviving in addition to her husband, are a son, Michael Beard, of Greenwood; two grandsons, Cody Beard and Brady Davis, both of Greenwood; two sisters, Joyce West and Connie Knox, both of Union; three brothers, Roy Puckett, and James Puck Puckett, both of Union, Edward Eddie Puckett, of Spartanburg. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Frank Thomas and Rev. Henry Coley. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. The family is at 307 Beechwood Circle, in Greenwood, and will receive friends at the Holcombe Funeral Home in Union, Sunday, March 7, 2004, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m.. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
