Newspaper clipping from "The Journal", hand-written date 4-15-1909: "Died" "Mr. Jens Petersen residing one mile northwest of town died very suddenly last Saturday supposed heart failure being the cause. He was as well as usual up to the hour of his death. He leaves a wife and several sons and daughters to mourn his sudden taking off. The funeral was held on Monday, Rev. Jorgensen preaching the sermon. Interment took place at the St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery. He was about 70 years of age and was well respected by...
