Description	:	Jens “Red” Iverson, 77, 413 W. 16th St., died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 1989, at his residence after a long illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Mayflower Congregational Church with the Rev. Laird R. Keever officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today with the family present from 7-9 p.m. In Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. He married Clara Blangy in 1937. She died in 1954 in Sioux City. He married Janice Wallen Moore July 1, 1955, in Sioux City. He worked for the Great Northern Railroad for 16 1/2 years and then for Bob Tagatz Pontiac for 18 years, retiring in 1974. Mr. Iverson was a member of Mayflower Congregational Church. He had been a member of Morningside Masonic Lodge 615 since 1943. Hr was a member of Sioux City Consistory and Abu Bekr Shrine Temple. He was one of the founders of the Abu Bekr Camper Unit. He was a midget race car driver in the area for 20 years and was voted most popular driver in 1949. He held the fastest time trial recorded at Riverview Raceway. Survivors his wife, Janice; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Vicky Iverson and Jens “Tim” and Debra Iverson, all of Sioux City; a daughter and son-In-law, Jacqueline and Alan Osterholt of Sioux City; four stepsons and their wives, Robert and Gloria Moore, James and Judy Moore and Tom and Cindy Moore, all of Sioux City and Jerry and Rhonda Moore of Fort Rucker, Ala.; two stepdaughters, Linda Foster and Kathy Moore, both of Sioux City; three stepdaughters and their husbands, Sandy and Gary Dickman, Betty and George Leckband and Penny and Doug Nobel, all of Sioux City; a brother and sister-In-law, Rubel and Lavina Iverson of Salix, Iowa; his aunt, Florence Flanagan of Sioux City; 32 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
