Description	:	Jerel "Jerry" Taul Jerel "Jerry" Taul, 63, of North Platte, former long-time Trenton resident, passed away Dec. 27, 2011, at his home. Jerry was born Jan. 9, 1948, at Stratton, to Clarence and Ella (Seybold) Taul. Jerry graduated from the Nebraska School of Agriculture at Curtis in 1967. In January of 1968, Jerry entered the U.S. Navy where he served in Vietnam. On March 17, 1968, while on leave from basic training, Jerry married Marilyn Vontz at Trenton. Read More	Jerel "Jerry" Taul Jerel "Jerry" Taul, 63, of North Platte, former long-time Trenton resident, passed away Dec. 27, 2011, at his home. Jerry was born Jan. 9, 1948, at Stratton, to Clarence and Ella (Seybold) Taul. Jerry graduated from the Nebraska School of Agriculture at Curtis in 1967. In January of 1968, Jerry entered the U.S. Navy where he served in Vietnam. On March 17, 1968, while on leave from basic training, Jerry married Marilyn Vontz at Trenton. Jerry was discharged from the Navy in October of 1969, upon which time he made his home in Trenton on the family farm. Jerry and Marilyn were blessed with three children, Scott, Kristi and Kari. The couple resided on the farm nearly their entire married lives; in 2002, Jerry's health would no longer allow him to farm and truck. The family would come to make their home in North Platte in 2003. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Taul, of North Platte; son, Scott Taul and his fiancée, Lori Houchen, of Crosby, Texas; two daughters, Kristi (Mike) O'Neal, of Hamburg, Iowa, and Kari (Tracy) Olson, of North Platte; five grandchildren, Austin McFarland, of Hamburg, Iowa, Steven O'Neal, of Hebron, Stacey O'Neal, of Lincoln, Kira Olson, of North Platte, Lacy Taul, of Crosby, Texas; sister, Joyce (Darrell) Troxel, of Hesperia, Calif.; mother-in-law, Joan Vontz, of Benkelman; two sisters-in-law, Mary (Dave) Bruun, of Chatham, Ill., Madelyn (Rich Kring) McKain, of McCook, and many other relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Dena Taul; brother, Donald (Barbara) Taul; three sisters, Margaret (Harold) Baker, Doris (Arthur) Hovey, Anita (Henry, Jr) Sitzmann; mother and father-in-law, Robert (Glady) Vontz; brother-in-law, Donald Cole; and brother-in-law, Bobby Vontz. Services will be on Thursday, Dec. 29 at 10:30 a.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte with Bob Loghry officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Trenton Cemetery at Trenton, at 3 p.m. on Thursday. Visitation will be today from 2-8 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte, which is in charge of arrangements. North Platte Telegraph December 28, 2011
