Albright died at the home of his niece, Mrs. J. D. Benedick, Wichita, Kans., Monday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock, July 9, where he had made his home since the death of his wife in 1903. Mr. Albright came to this part of the state in 1855 and was well known by most all of the old-timers of the county. The corpse was brought to the home of his sister, Mrs. J. W. Rodman, here Tuesday evening where it lay in state until Wednesday afternoon. Funeral services were held at the house at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Reuben Barrett. Burial services at the Masonic cemetery here, were in charge of the Quitman Masonic lodge, of which he was a member. Jeremiah L. Albright was born in Clay County, Mo., November 17, 1838, and died July 9, 1923 - aged 84 years, 7 months and 22 days. He married Effie Ann McDonald in 1870, who preceded him May 19, 1903. He was of a family of 14 children, 8 of whom have preceded him to the other world and he is survived by three brothers and two sisters: T. J. Albright of Wetmore, Kans., D. J. Albright of Roosevelt, Okla., B. F. Albright of Roosevent, Okla., Mrs. Tabitha Goslee and Mrs. J. W. Rodman, both of Skidmore. D. J. Albright left for a motor trip to California just a few days ago and could not be notified of the death of his brother and B. F. was unable to attend the funeral."
