Description	:	Jerene Marie Smart recently passed away at the age of 78. She departed peacefully in her Hoodsport, WA home in the early morning hours of December 28, 2016. Jerene was born on December 11, 1938 to her parents Kemper and Julia Clevinger of Morton, WA. She was raised in Morton and graduated from the High School there. Jerene married her husband on March 28, 1957. They later had two children. She worked many years in Seattle for two cardio-vascular surgeons as a medical secretary. Her hobbies included spending time with Paul on many traveling adventures across America in... Read More	Jerene Marie Smart recently passed away at the age of 78. She departed peacefully in her Hoodsport, WA home in the early morning hours of December 28, 2016. Jerene was born on December 11, 1938 to her parents Kemper and Julia Clevinger of Morton, WA. She was raised in Morton and graduated from the High School there. Jerene married her husband on March 28, 1957. They later had two children. She worked many years in Seattle for two cardio-vascular surgeons as a medical secretary. Her hobbies included spending time with Paul on many traveling adventures across America in their recreational vehicle. They took every opportunity to experience a game of golf as they went. Golf was also a major part of Jerene's life as they lived on the course in Hoodsport. She was also an active member of Hood Canal Community Church attending worship and various Bible Studies. Jerene is survived by her husband, her daughter, son, three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, brother. Those proceeding Jerene by death were her parents and brother Donald. Memorial service for Jerene will be held at 1:00 pm on January 14, 2017 at Hood Canal Community Church. Family graveside service will be held at a later date.
