Description	:	Gone Fishing Jerome Dalton Mast was born April 4, 1933 on a farm in Hand County, South Dakota. He died suddenly at his home on June 22, 2000. He was the third child of Emil and Margaret Mast. In 1948 he came to Seattle and attended Franklin High School. In 1949 he joined the Washington National Guard, 146th Field Artillery "S" Service Battery. He worked for the Boeing Company for 39 1/2 years, retiring in 1991. Read More	Gone Fishing Jerome Dalton Mast was born April 4, 1933 on a farm in Hand County, South Dakota. He died suddenly at his home on June 22, 2000. He was the third child of Emil and Margaret Mast. In 1948 he came to Seattle and attended Franklin High School. In 1949 he joined the Washington National Guard, 146th Field Artillery "S" Service Battery. He worked for the Boeing Company for 39 1/2 years, retiring in 1991. Jerry is preceded in death by sons Gregory Scott Mast and Jeffrey E. Mast, and sisters Joyce Combs and Maryanne Ramsdell. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lillian Mast; their two sons, Stephen J. Mast and Timothy J. Mast, both of Buckley, WA. Also by his brother, James (Esther) Mast, and many nieces and nephews, as well as a granddaughter, Diania Lynn Mast. Jerry enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed fishing after his retirement. He also started a small Christmas tree farm as a third career and enjoyed it as a hobby. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A short funeral service will be held at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup on Thursday, June 29, 2000 at 11:00am. Viewing on Tuesday, June 27, 2000 from 2pm to 6pm, and Wednesday, June 28, 2000 from 9am to 8pm. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association in his memory. Pub Date: 6/25/2000
