He grew up in Columbus where he attended school through the 12th grade at St. Bonaventure Catholic School, graduating in 1947. Read More	Jerome Peter Dunn was born on October 27, 1929 in Columbus, Nebraska to James and Mary Anne (Noonan) Dunn. He grew up in Columbus where he attended school through the 12th grade at St. Bonaventure Catholic School, graduating in 1947. As a young boy, Jerry was very industrious, tending to a paper route, working at the grocery store and transferring cars for the Ford Dealership. Jerry served with the Nebraska National Guard and was honored as the soldier of the year in 1957. He spent much of his time at Fort Riley, Kansas . Jerry married Beverly Seefeld in St. Paul, Minnesota on May 19th 1952. Jerry and Bev enjoyed 58 years of marriage. They were blessed with five children: Carol Lee, David Charles, Michael Allen, Larry Scott and Tracy Lynn. Jerry and Bev raised their family in Wahoo, North Platte, Des Moines, Iowa and Omaha before settling in Elkhorn. Jerry worked for Hinky Dinky before moving to Baker's where he worked for 38 years, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed woodworking, playing cards, Husker football and travelling with Bev. Jerry is remembered for his big smile and hearty greeting whether you were a long-time friend or a new acquaintance. At work he demanded integrity and loyalty and always had a yellow pad and black sharpie pen in hand. Jerry was a strong, resilient man who was truly devoted to his Catholic faith. A common thread in Jerry's life was that no matter what he was doing, it was always better if Bev was with him. Jerry passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Memorial Community Hospital in Blair, Nebraska at the age of 82 years 3 months and 8 days. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Anne, son Larry, wife Beverly, brother Martin and sisters Helen Kaminski, MaryAnne Selander and Joeleen Dunn. Jerry is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law David and Michelle and Mike and Coleen all of Omaha; daughter and son-in-law Carol and Randall Barker of Springville, UT and daughter, Tracy Dunn of Omaha; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law Bethel and John Ernst of Holiday Island, AR and Stanley Kaminski of Dayton, OH;
