Description	:	Funeral service for Jerome Rott, 81, of Ashley will be 11:00 am, Friday, June 15, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church in Ashley. The Rev. Linda J. Schauer will officiate. Jerome died Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Ashley Nursing Home. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Jerome was born March 2, 1937 on the family farm south of Ashley, ND. Jerome died Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Ashley Nursing Home. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Jerome was born March 2, 1937 on the family farm south of Ashley, ND. He was the youngest of three children born to Otto and Pauline (Obenauer) Rott. He attended and graduated from Ashley Public School with the class of 1956. Jerome went on to attend North Dakota State School of Science at Wahpeton, ND graduating in 1958 from the Auto Mechanics program. He then returned to Ashley to farm with his family. Jerome was united in marriage to Janice Korstad on August 13, 1962 at Webster, SD. They made their home in Ashley. He farmed all his working life raising small grains and cattle. He retired in 1997. Jerome enjoyed fishing and hunting and in his younger years he liked snowmobiling and camping. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Grateful for having shared Jerome’s life are his wife, Janice; children, Jessica (Greg) Busch of Columbus, ND, Michael (Renee´) Rott of Madison, WI and Susan (Bob) Twedt of Grand Forks, ND; six grandchildren and sister-in-law, Pearl Rott of Kulm, ND. Preceding Jerome in death were his parents and two brothers and sister-in-law, Clarence and Larry and Agatha. Casketbearers will be Tim Rott, Robert Rott, Monte Wahl, Bob Twedt, Charles Puhlmann and Greg Busch. Carlsen Funeral Home of Ashley has been entrusted with arrangements.
