Read More	Obituary from The Independent Record: Jerrie Lynne (Ratliff) Carroll, age 53, of Helena, loving wife, mother, sister and Nana, surrounded by her adoring family, was lifted up by angels to join her Savior and Lord on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002. Jerrie Lynne was born on June 5, 1949, in Mount Vernon, Wash. She graduated from Marysville High School in 1967, and shortly after graduated from cosmetology school. She found her soul mate, Mike Carroll, in the summer of 1969, and they joined their hearts in marriage on Sept. 14, in Langley, B.C., Canada. They raised their two children, Shannin and Jedidiah, in Milton, Wash., and later Belfair, Wash. In the past year, Mike and Jerrie Lynne had moved to Helena so that she could create priceless memories with her family. Jerrie Lynne always approached each new day with true optimism and love of life. She found ways to open her eyes and her heart to the miracles that surrounded her, making sure to share these with those that were honored by her presence. She hoped that through breast cancer, God would use her as His instrument to help others see the blessings that life holds, discover strength, and find hope no matter what their circumstances. She enjoyed many activities in her life including arts and crafts, bingo, listening to music, thrift store shopping, landscaping, being in the outdoors and fishing with the love of her life, enjoying their precious time together. She especially enjoyed just spending time each day loving her grandchildren, planting flowers, playing marbles, baking, snuggling, having Nana nights and sharing "Nana treasures." She is an inspiration to all she has touched, leaving a loving legacy with her family that will be tightly woven into the very hearts and souls of generations to follow. Her father, Jerry Ratliff, and her special nephew, Ryan Kaufman, preceded her to eternal life. Jerrie Lynne is survived by her devoted husband, Mike; her children, Jedidiah, Shannin and son-in-law, Duane Preshinger; her precious grandbabies, Taylor and Cory of Helena; her sister and dearest friend, Beverly Ratliff of Alger, Wash.; mother, Patricia Ratliff of Mount Vernon; brother, Bob Ratliff of Petersburg, Alaska; nephews, Randy Kaufman and Robby Kaufman; and numerous other family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church.
