Description	:	Jerrilene Sue, daughter of Dean and Diane Imler Clipperton, was born October 13, 1951, in Bayard. Jeri had juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and as a young girl spent much of her time at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. In between trips, she attended school in Bayard, eventually completing her GED. While residing in Des Moines, Jerri met her future husband, Michael Fitzsimmons, whom she married on September 6, 1980, in Bayard. A son, Matthew, was born to this union. While residing in Des Moines, Jerri met her future husband, Michael Fitzsimmons, whom she married on September 6, 1980, in Bayard. A son, Matthew, was born to this union. They made their home in Des Moines until moving to Bayard in 1984. Jerri was a devoted wife and mother. While her abilities were limited, she enjoyed trying new activities including ceramics, painting, and writing stories. On May 22, 2002, Jerri died at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, due to complications of her illness. She was 50 years of age. Jerri was preceded in death by her grandparents: Wilbur and Elsie Clipperton and Ralph and Theo Imler. She is survived by her husband, Michael Fitzsimmons and son, Matthew Fitzsimmons, both of Bayard; parents, Dean and Diane Clipperton of Bayard; brothers and sisters: Karen and husband, Don Esslinger of Bayard; Elaine and husband, Dick Andersen of Coon Rapids; Patricia Clipperton and Gary Clipperton of Bayard; Larry Clipperton and wife, Dathel of Oklahoma City, OK; Randy Clipperton and wife, Sandy of Bayard; Debbie and husband, Ronny Gustoff of Bayard; Cindy and husband. Randy Monthei of Jefferson; other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Graveside funeral services were held Saturday morning, May 25, at Union Township Cemetery, rural Coon Rapids.
