Description	:	Jerrold (Duke) Suntken, 44, of 315 6th Ave. S. E., Waverly, died Monday afternoon, July 11 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. He was born on March 8, 1939 in Belmond, the son of Onno and Genevieve Wilkens Suntken. He was raised in Meservey and graduated from the Meservey High School in 1957. E., Waverly, died Monday afternoon, July 11 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. He was born on March 8, 1939 in Belmond, the son of Onno and Genevieve Wilkens Suntken. He was raised in Meservey and graduated from the Meservey High School in 1957. He worked as a mechanic for the Raecker Chevrolet Company in Meservey. On June 30, 1960 he was united in marriage to Betty L. Floy in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockwell. The couple lived in Meservey until 1968 when they moved to Waverly. Duke worked for the Vriezelaar Chevrolet Company as Service Manager. In 1981 he became a partner with Louis Gambaiani in the Yarcho Motor Company in Waverly, and in 1982 became sole owner. Duke suffered a heart attack on May 13, had open heart surgery on Friday, July 8 at Allen Memorial Hospital where he died on Monday afternoon. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waverly and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Betty; one daughter, Mrs. Scott (Dana Jo) Folkers of Denver, CO; his mother, Mrs. Genevieve Suntken of Belmond and one brother, Rev. Larry G. Suntken of Upper Montclair, N. J. He was preceded In death by his father and one sister in infancy. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 14 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waverly with Rev. J. David Pepper officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Waverly. A rosary service conducted by the Knights of Columbus will be at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, and a scripture service at 8 p.m. Wednesday, in Waverly, where friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday. The Suntken family suggests that memorials be directed to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
