Jerry was born December 22, 1925 in Scribner, Nebraska to Owen and Rosella(Hinrichsen) Miller. Jerry was a very loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a resident of Fremont the majority of his life. He was a 1943 graduate of Fremont High School. Jerry was born December 22, 1925 in Scribner, Nebraska to Owen and Rosella(Hinrichsen) Miller. Jerry was a very loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a resident of Fremont the majority of his life. He was a 1943 graduate of Fremont High School. He served in the US Army from March 21, 1944 to May 4, 1946 during World War II in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theater and the Asiatic Pacific Theater and held the rank of Sergeant. Jerry married Ramona R. Sullivan in Fremont on October 25, 1946. He owned and operated Jerry Miller Conoco in Fremont for 40 years and his wife did the books. Jerry retired in 1993. He enjoyed golf and bowling. He sponsored many bowling teams at 30 Bowl, golf teams at Valley View and White Tail Run and stock cars at Sunset Speedway. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles #200 of Fremont, lifetime member of VFW Post #854 of Fremont and a morning coffee club at Hy-Vee. He is survived by daughter, Barbara and husband, Jim Eastberg of Fremont; brothers, Dean Miller of Riverside, California and Harold Miller of Fremont; grandchildren, Jamee Sickels and special friend, Todd Coffey and Brent and wife, Renee Eastberg; and great grandchildren, Jordyn and Hailey Sickels and Tommy and Hunter Eastberg. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ramona, who died on February 18, 2007; brother, Donnie Miller; sister-in-law, Joan Miller and an infant sister. Funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M.. Friday, January 29, 2016 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The Rev. Greg Hall will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 5 PM to 8PM with family receiving friends from 6 PM to 8 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel and will continue one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial with military honors will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Memorials are directed to Valley View Golf Course in Fremont." Published at Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont, Nebraska.
