Description	:	Jerry Lee Fowler, 78, of Spartanburg, went home to be with His Lord after a sudden illness on Monday, November 6, 2006, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born April 25, 1928, in Chesnee, SC, he was the son of the late Arthur Olin Fowler and Edna (Gossett) Fowler. A 1948 graduate of Spartanburg High School, he was the retired owner of Fowler Motor Company, a member of Green Street Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon, Sunday School Director, and former teacher in the Young Adult Department. Born April 25, 1928, in Chesnee, SC, he was the son of the late Arthur Olin Fowler and Edna (Gossett) Fowler. A 1948 graduate of Spartanburg High School, he was the retired owner of Fowler Motor Company, a member of Green Street Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon, Sunday School Director, and former teacher in the Young Adult Department. He was a member of Gideons International North Spartanburg Camp. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Doris Corine (Estepp) Fowler; four daughters, Linda Wyatt and husband Jeff, Brenda George and husband Randy, all of Moore, Sandra Whitener and husband Ben of Spartanburg, and Carolyn Sorrow of Destin, FL; a brother, Joseph Fowler of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Brian Lee, Kyle, Daniel, Jeremy, Kellie, Carrie, Andrea, and Danielle; and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson, Justin Sorrow, and a son-in-law, Keith Sorrow. Visitation was held 1:00-2:15 PM on Thursday, November 9, 2006, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services followed at 2:30 PM at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Thomas Moore. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Green Street Baptist Church, 446 Brawley Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303; or to Gideons International, P. O. Box 3103, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
