He was a 1960 graduate of Jefferson High School and lived in Lafayette all of his life. His marriage was Dec. 17, 1961, in Lafayette, to Sheryll Lynn Cuppy, who survives. Surviving with his wife are his mother and stepfather, Gladys and Perry Johnson; three brothers, Larry Johnson, James Johnson, and Gary Johnson, all of Lafayette; also several nieces and nephews.
