Description	:	Jerry W. Ohlman, 67, of Walnut Creek, Calif., died May 23, 2010. Mr. Ohlman was born May 15, 1943, at Shelton to Fred and Viola (Holtz) Ohlman. On July 2, 1967, he was united in marriage to Sandra Kay Thavenet of Hastings. She preceded him in death in May 1975. Survivors are: son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Kit Ohlman of Benicia, Calif.; brothers and a sister-in-law, Don and Sandra Ohlman and Bernie Ohlman, all of Central City; sisters and brothers-in-law, Myrna and Quentin DuVall of Menifee, Calif., Ruth and Bernie Karr of Cave Creek, Ariz. and... On July 2, 1967, he was united in marriage to Sandra Kay Thavenet of Hastings. She preceded him in death in May 1975. Survivors are: son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Kit Ohlman of Benicia, Calif.; brothers and a sister-in-law, Don and Sandra Ohlman and Bernie Ohlman, all of Central City; sisters and brothers-in-law, Myrna and Quentin DuVall of Menifee, Calif., Ruth and Bernie Karr of Cave Creek, Ariz. and Dorian and Leo Pfeifer of Surprise, Ariz; nieces; nephews and a host of friends and relatives. Jerry was baptized in the Lutheran faith. He graduated from Central City High School in 1962. He served in the U.S. Army from 1962 until 1964. In 1973, he moved to California where he was self-employed contractor for many years. For the past six years, he was a foreman for William Fuller & Associates in Concord. Jerry was a member of the American Legion, Lafayette Post 517. Jerry was preceded in death by his father in May 2005 and his mother in May 2010. Published in The Grand Island Independent on 6/2/2010
