Read More	Jesse Bunce Johnson Jesse Bunce Johnson, 97, of Delmar, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Oct. 20, 2014. Born in Crisfield, Md. in 1917, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Cathryn Viola Johnson and was the son of the late Carrie Elizabeth Hall Johnson. Jesse was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Delmar; he and his late wife, Cathryn, had accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts over 70 years ago. Mr. Johnson was honorably discharged from the US Army in the 1940s, and was a retiree of Oliphant Chevrolet, formerly in Salisbury, Md. Jesse was a master automobile technician in his craft and was very generous in helping others with his skills. Above everything else, Jesse loved to talk about his family, was a scholar on the scriptures and stories in the Bible and loved to share his faith. Jesse is survived by four children: daughter, Virginia Kellum and her husband James of Salisbury, daughter, Priscilla Austin and her husband Albert of Delmar, daughter, Becky Temple and her husband Rick of Kissimmee, Fla. and son, Jeffrey Johnson and his wife Cathy of Salisbury; seven grandchildren, David, Dwayne and Daniel Austin, Kyle Calloway, Matthew, Nicholas and Emily Johnson; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Hattie Tawes Sterling; brother, Russell George Johnson and three grandchildren, Keith Ward, Mark Ward and Sean Calloway. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour before the service. Interment will follow at Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron, Md. Officiating will be the Rev. Michael Phillips assisted by the Rev. Greg Morris.
