Mr. Antwine was born on May 13, 1940, in Gadsden, TN, the son of Jesse Lee and Audrice Hopper Antwine, who preceded him in death, as did a son, Lee Partee Antwine. Mr. Antwine leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mary Alice (Craig/Sweet) Antwine and her children, Alice Ann Elkins (Joseph) grandchildren, Noah, Anna, Lilly, Sarah and William as well as Mary Elizabeth Fragale (Ryan) and grandchildren, Rocco and Turner; a sister, Jennifer (Jim) Smith, of Henderson, NV; nieces, Jenny Riley (Eric), grandnieces Kate and Sarah of Nichols, NY; Jessica Ciofani (Kevin) and grandniece, Scarlett of Henderson, NV. He leaves a host of cousins and friends. Mr. Antwine was educated in the Gadsden, TN, school system. He graduated Lambuth College. He was a past resident of W. Palm Beach County, FL, where he was the owner of Rainbow Services. After his retirement in 1997, he relocated to Cape Coral, FL, where he and wife, Mary Alice, made many fond memories after their marriage in 2004. Mr. Antwine was a commercial, ocean, fishing boat captain. He also enjoyed hunting but his real passions were aviating and spending time with his dear friends, expounding on his many and varied interests and travels. Mr. Antwine will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a unique individual, who loved his animal friends dearly. They are “the innocents” he would say. The family of Mr. Antwine wishes to express heartfelt thanks to all who have been so faithful to wish him well over the past months of illness. Special thanks go to his doctors and nurses at Jackson General Hospital, The Kaufman Cancer Center, Medical Center Home Health and West TN Hospice. Dr. Keith Kirby was especially helpful with his acts of kindness above and beyond the call of duty. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice or to the Gadsden Cemetery Fund.
