Description	:	Jesse left Pennsylvania in 1881 at the age of 21 for Iowa. At Muscatine Iowa, Jesse met and later married Bessie Blanchard. The couple moved to near Bondurant, Polk County, Iowa where they built their home and raised their family of three sons, LeRoy, Charles and Clinton. He was past national director of the Sheep and Wool Growers Association and past president of the Polk County Farm Bureau. He was a member of the King David Masonic Lodge at Altoona, Iowa and of the Old Settlers club of Polk County. He lived 64 years on the same farm near Bondurant, Iowa.
