Description	:	Jesse Lynn Gibb, 93, passed away February 18, 2015 in his home in Ellensburg, WA. He was born in Hill Spring, Alberta, Canada on December 29, 1921 to David T. Gibb and Sarah Mendenhall. His family moved to the Kittitas Valley in 1934. They initially lived in the Thorp area, finally settling in Ellensburg on Brick Mill Road. Jesse graduated from Ellensburg High School. Read More	Jesse Lynn Gibb, 93, passed away February 18, 2015 in his home in Ellensburg, WA. He was born in Hill Spring, Alberta, Canada on December 29, 1921 to David T. Gibb and Sarah Mendenhall. His family moved to the Kittitas Valley in 1934. They initially lived in the Thorp area, finally settling in Ellensburg on Brick Mill Road. Jesse graduated from Ellensburg High School. At the age of 19, with the world engaged in war, he enlisted in the Navy. He enjoyed his time in the Navy, seeing the world, and loved the ocean. Upon return, he and his brothers began farming. He studied music at Brigham Young University and sang in two operas and the Madrigal choir. Jesse met his wife to be, Joan Gunn, in the Madrigal choir. They married July 29, 1955 in the Manti Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Utah. They were blessed with 7 children and raised them on their farm south of Kittitas. They raised their children in the LDS church and Jesse loved serving in many different church capacities. In his retirement years he devoted much of his time serving in LDS temples. He served as the president of the Kittitas County Farm Bureau and as a member of the Ellensburg Water Company board of directors. He had a great love of music and sang his entire life. He sang at numerous weddings, funerals, church services and family gatherings. He is survived by his wife, a brother, several children, 28 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 808 S. Magnolia at 9:00 am and funeral services at 10:00 am Saturday February 28, 2015. Burial will follow at High Valley cemetery.
