Description	:	Jesse was born to Jesse and Ruby Kathleen (Wooden) Jenks. He attended school through grade 8. Following his education, he moved to Sidney. He married Patricia Moore on February 18, 1950 and to their union was born five children, Susan, Ruby Ann, William, Raymond and Patrick. He operated S.A. Moore Sand and Gravel business for several years. He then worked various positions with the City of Sidney prior to becoming a police officer. He retired as a police lieutenant after 26 years of service. J.R. enjoyed woodworking, he could build anything out of a little bit... Life was right with a cup of coffee and a western on TV. He loved spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. If anyone needed anything he would find a way so they could have it, even if it meant going without himself. He had a million things to say and only used a handful of words. His eyes did the talking.
