Mr. and Mrs. John Malin, of this city, received word this morning of the death of her father, Jesse Sanders, who for the last six months has been making his home with his son, Milton Sanders, of Papillion, Nebr. Mr. Sanders was formerly of this city,having made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Malin, prior to his departure for Nebraska to live with his son there. Mr. and Mrs. John Malin, of this city, received word this morning of the death of her father, Jesse Sanders, who for the last six months has been making his home with his son, Milton Sanders, of Papillion, Nebr. Mr. Sanders was formerly of this city,having made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Malin, prior to his departure for Nebraska to live with his son there. The cause of his death was lagrippe, from which he had been suffering for the last two weeks. The deceased was a veteran of the Civil war, having served in Company , 25th Iowa infantry during the rebellion. He was one of Washington county's early settlers, and was well known here and equally well regarded and respected. Nine children survive him: A. D. Sanders of Loveland, Colo.; Milton Sanders, of Papillion, Nebr., at whose home the deceased died; Mrs. Martha Day and Mrs. Ola Brown of Kaye county, Oklahoma; Mrs. Lizzie Ives, of Seattle, Washington; Mrs. Jennie Chapman of Ft. Madison, Iowa; Mrs. Wright,of Fairfield; Mrs. John Malin, of this city, and Charles Sanders of Wellfleet, Wyoming. Mr. Sanders was bereft of his first wife in 1882 and his second wife died several years ago. He was a member of the Christian church and a man who always represented the highest standards of honesty. The funeral will be held Thursday in the Malin residence but the exact time has not yet been definitely set. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
