Description	:	Jesse Webster, age 51, veteran automobile salesman and former car repairman for the Lake Erie railroad, died suddenly at the family home south of the New Hope church at 1:00 o'clock this morning of a heart attack. Mr. Webster had been feeling in ill health for the past 10 days or so but believed that it was indigestion. Monday night at 10 o'clock he took a turn for the worse and died before a doctor could reach his bedside. Funeral services will be held at Young's funeral home Thursday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock. Mr. Webster had been feeling in ill health for the past 10 days or so but believed that it was indigestion. Friends may call at the funeral home. Mr. Webster was born in the New Hope community, Sept. 14, 1889, the son of William Harvey and Alice (Boyer) Webster. He was united in marriage to Laura Katon, daughter of the late Melville and Charity (Parker) Katon in 1909. To this union was born one daughter, Carolyn, wife of Herschel Brown, of 462 Poplar street, Tipton Also surviving is his mother, Mrs. Alice Webster, of south of New Hope church, a sister, Mrs. Mary Murray of Kokomo and a brother, Roy Webster, of Atlanta. There are also six grandchildren, Betty Lou and Barbara Anne Harrison and David, Virginia, Charles and Robert Brown; and one niece, Mrs. Lester Daughterly of Kokomo, with other relatives and friends. He united with the New Hope church when a young man and had been a member since. He was a former employee of the Lake Erie railroad as a car rejoinder and for the last few years spent most of the time as a salesman until impaired health forced his retirement. He had been employed by the Coy automobile sales agency. The deceased was a member of the Modern Woodmen lodge of this city. He is he son of William H. and Alice Boyer Webster and the husband of Laura Mae Katon and the father of Carolyne R. Webster. Tipton Tribune, Jan 21, 1941
